We are looking for an Engineering Manager to build, develop, and partner with a growing team of 5-10 ML Engineers working on AI systems that power our digital forensics capabilities. Youâll be responsible for hiring, coaching, career development, and performance; raising the bar on AI/ML craft by shaping standards, developing engineers, and building a strong community of practice across the team.
Distributed across Canada and Sweden, our MLEs work in cross-functional groups alongside Software Engineers and SDETs, and are organized around missions like Search and Enrichment rather than by technical discipline. As part of the AI Engineering leadership team, youâll work alongside peers to build cohesion across those groups, partner with Tech Leads to shape how we approach difficult technical problems, and collaborate with Product and UX to make sure the team is solving the right problems for our users.
From building AI that investigators can trust to turn months of case work into days, to figuring out what âgoodâ looks like when users are searching for a needle in a haystack theyâve never seen before, our team works on challenging and meaningful problems. 3+ years managing or leading teams of engineers, with a track record of building healthy teams, delivering results, and coaching people through growth (regardless of title);
Hands-on experience building applied AI/ML systems. Enough to understand what good looks like, evaluate technical judgment, and have credible conversations on technical topics with the team;

Role Description
As the Engineering Manager of the Ads Advanced Signals Team at Reddit, youâll lead the team responsible for the APIs, integrations, and tooling that power both inbound and outbound signals for Reddit Ads, which includes helping advertisers
What Youâll Do
Ads Advanced Signals Technical Vision
Your primary mission will be to scale and evolve the APIs, integrations, and tooling that power Redditâs off-platform signals ecosystem. This includes both collecting high-quality inbound signals and delivering outbound data products that advertisers and partners use to measure and optimize performance. There is significant room to guide technical vision that will have a meaningful impact on Redditâs ads business.
Execution
You will own the execution of your teamâs roadmap and be accountable for consistent, predictable delivery. You will prioritize both planned projects and emergent asks. You will coach Tech Leads on project management and empower your team to execute autonomously. You will identify risks and proactively communicate them both internally and externally.
Career Development
You will help your engineers identify career goals and create development plans to achieve them. You will constantly seek opportunities to push your engineers & managers outside their comfort zone and turn followers into leaders.
Quality Control
You will work with your team to develop processes and tooling that constantly improve the quality of our products and systems, ensuring that they meet product requirements, customer needs, and SLAs.
Organizational Alignment
You will serve as a thought partner to product and upper management to ensure your teamâs plans align with company goals. You will become an expert in the digital ads business and our customer needs. CarGurus is hiring an Engineering Manager to lead the Purchase team within our Consumer Engineering department. The Purchase team owns the consumer journey from the moment a shopper decides on a car to the moment the deal is done. That means delivering an experience that meets consumers where they areâwhether they want agents to handle the heavy lifting on their behalf, or prefer to be guided through each step of financing, trade-in, and deal configuration themselves.

Role overview
CarGurus is hiring an Engineering Manager to lead the Purchase team within our Consumer Engineering department. The Purchase team owns the consumer journey from the moment a shopper decides on a car to the moment the deal is done. That means delivering an experience that meets consumers where they areâwhether they want agents to handle the heavy lifting on their behalf, or prefer to be guided through each step of financing, trade-in, and deal configuration themselves.
This is a pivotal leadership role at an exciting moment: we are actively transitioning our engineering practices toward AI-native and fully agentic development, and this manager will be a key driver of that transformation. Youâll lead a team of talented engineers, shape the technical vision for one of our most strategically important product areas, and champion AI-forward ways of workingâfrom integrating AI coding assistants into daily workflows to architecting intelligent, consumer-facing experiences. This is a role for someone energized by these challenges. Someone who can move quickly, create clarity from ambiguity, and turn rapid growth into better systems, sharper decisions, and stronger execution. The right person will be able to operate at both altitude and ground level, shaping strategy, doing sharp analysis, and getting deep into frontline processes when that is what the business needs.
There is a staffing crisis in education. Too many teachers are leaving the profession, not enough are coming in, and school leaders are being forced to manage daily staffing gaps with limited budgets and limited visibility.

Youâll work directly with the North American leadership team, owning the operating cadence, driving key cross-functional projects, and jumping on problems that do not yet have a clear owner.
It is a broad remit by design. The business needs someone who can move fast across functions, bring structure to ambiguity, and make important work happen.
Youâll report to Chris Berry, Managing Director, North America, who made a similar move from consulting into startup revenue and operations. That means youâll get close coaching from someone who understands the transition and will push you to grow quickly.
No two days will be the same. You might be working on things like:
- Partnering with leadership to refine strategy and priorities
- Driving projects across Growth, Operations, Customer Success, Finance, and People
- Supporting new market launches and commercial rollout plans
- Building the operating cadence, dashboards, and decision-making systems we need to scale
- Turning ambiguous problems into clear plans, owners, and outcomes
- Jumping into urgent business problems when there is no obvious owner yet

This is likely a fit for someone with 5 to 10 years of experience, including time in consulting, investing, high-growth startups, strategy, operations, revenue, marketplaces, or another demanding generalist environment.
